AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants baseball team, is just one half mile from the Pickwick. Opened in 2000, its classic design, breathtaking views and trained homerun fetching Portuguese water dogs make it a must see, and any game a memorable experience. The park is home to the annual Emerald Bowl college football game, as well as major outdoor concerts and events. Built to be public transit accessible, AT&T Park rivals any sports complex in the world.
Golden Gate Theatre, located just two blocks east of the hotel, is a 2300 seat Beaux Arts Style theatre built in 1922 for the Orpheum circuit. After undergoing a complete renovation in 1979, it has since played host to the “Best of Broadway” national tour, entertaining countless patrons young and old alike.
The Pickwick Hotel’s also near Alcatraz, one of the most enduring popular San Francisco attractions. The best way to see it is to take an Alcatraz bay cruise to the famous island departing from San Francisco’s famous Fisherman’s Wharf.
Other fantastic things that you can’t possibly miss during your visit to San Francisco include Muir Woods, Sausalito, wine country, and Yosemite. Our concierge can arrange tours and ticketing to see these and other sights in San Francisco.
